Annual Report to go with the Financial Statement to 31 December 2023
These accounts mark the first partial year of Cradley Heath Community Link as a CIO and therefore only cover a period of 9 months. These 9 months have been very important to the development of the Charity, seeing two historic events.
Firstly, the Charity appointed a funded member of staff as “assistant manager”. Mr Tim Ryall is proving to be a great asset, particularly now that the Voluntary Project Leader is spending less time at the Link as he continues training towards ordained ministry.
Secondly much time has been spent looking for new premises as the lease on the site was coming to an end. The move to the new venue took place in November 2023 with much work done in late 2023 and much of 2024 to bring the building up to the standard wanted. The “Legal and Professional Fees” shown in these accounts are accounted for through the move and accompanying new lease.
The building will give much scope for expansion in 2023, which the assistant manager will bring about. This will include ways in which the CHCL can raise its own finances,
Finally the accounts demonstrate the reliance of the charity on grants and the Trustees are particularly grateful for the support of The Diocese of Worcester during this period.
