LOVE OF THE GAME REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 The trustees present thelr report wlth the flnanclal statements of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025. The trustees have adopted the proV￿s1onS of Accountlng and Reportlng by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practlce applicable to charitie5 preparlng their accounts in accordance with the Flnancial Reportlng Standard applScable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102} leffective I January 20191. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objertives and aims Love of the Game ILOTG) started as a campaign In 2021 and on 23 March 2023 became a Charltable Incorporated OrganSsatSon, regSstered wlth the Charlty Commlsslon (No 1202462, CIO No CE03L7921. Our misslon statement is.. To protect players of all ages from the potentlally devastatlng Impact of head Snjurfes, whlle also protecting the integrity of the 5POrts we know and love. Love of the Game ILOTG) was founded by former England and Brltlsh and Irlsh Llons rugby unlon Internatlonal Simon Shaw MBE, bLJ5inessman, dementia care pioneer, and former England Under-18 player Lauren￿ Geller CBE, and Sally Pettipher, Chief of Staff to forrner International rugby captaln and owner of Cornish Pirates, Sir Richard Evans land now CEO of Cornish Pirates). Lauren￿ Geller was subsequently appointed the UK Government's Ninisterlal Advi50r on Concussion in Sport and chal￿d the Government's Innov3tlon and Technology Forum for Con¢u5sion In Sport. The aims of the founders of LOTG were to reduce concussion-related i5sue5 arising from contact and non-contact sports and by doing so preserve those sports by reducing the risk of eady onset dementla and other neurological consequences to players, lengthenlng sporting careers and reducing the fear of takSng part. LOTG Is an Impassloned communlty of athletes, players, fans, innovators and experts, unlted by our love of sport and the desire to ￿lfIl our rnission statement. The objects of LOTG as establlshed wlth the Chadty Commlsslon are fourfold.. For the publlc benefit the protectlon and presetvatlon of good health, In partlcular, but not exclusively, by.. A. Funding and providing support for research into the efficacy of approaches used to prevent, mltigate and manage concussion-related injuries including but not limited to perslstent concusslon syndrome and early onset dementia in England and Wales and research Into new medical technologles and treatments of concusslon-related Injurles provided that the useful re5uIt5 of such research are dissemlnated to the publlc at large. B. Educatln9 medlcal practitioners and other professlonals In the best methods for the diagnosls, care and treatment of persons with concusslon-related Injuries. C. Educating about and prornoting accessibillty to treatment wlthln centres providing care and treatment to persons with concusslon-related Injurie5. D. Raising awareness among the general public of all areas of concusslon~related injurtes. Page I

LOVE OF THE GAME REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Charitable activities It was clear to LOTG In 2021 that what was lacking was a clear UK national integrated approach to concusslon In sport. LOTG worked closely with the UK Government to define such an approach, and made slgnificant contributlons to the Government's response to the DCMS Select Committee report on Concussion in sport as we11 as the first natlonal Guidellnes for Concussion Management in Grassroots Sport ("If In doubt, sit them out I which were published In Aprll 2023. We were also key in setting up DCMS'5 Innovation and Technology Gmup and it5 Research Group. It was also clear that, although the was a significant body of expertSse In concussion throughout medical and academic Institutltsns in the UK, there wa5 insufficient coordlnatlon and sharlng of expertise. In 2022 LOTG began to draw together a network of leadlng neur05urgeons, neurologists, neuro-psychologlsts and radiographers from aroun(J 20 leading hospltals and centre5. It was originally called the RegSonal Sport5 Concussion Centres Network but was renamed the UK Concussion Network IUKCNI. It Is co-chaired by Professor Peter Hutchinson from Cambrldge and Professor Mlchael Parker from LOTG. The network ha5 been invaluable in, inter alia, provldlng advice to LOTG and to government which helped them to craft the national guidelines for concusslon management across all grassroot sports as mentloned above. An Important part of our WO￿ has been eXplo￿ng new technologles of Inte￿5t. LOTG ha5 been Involved n showcaslng new technologies slnce Its creatlon, starting with a 'Hackathon' in March 2021 which saw teams of students, researchers, designers and medics from the top universltles In the UK formed to deslgn new technologies to prevent, dlagnose or treat concusslon in sport. Medla interest led to an ongoing LOTG focus on providing platforms for new technologies In the forrn of annual 'Demo Days,. Some of these have shown partScular promlse. We ctsntinue to work with WAVI, an early Demo Day partlclpant, whose portable brain scanner has recently receSved FDA approval In the USA and the research paper Is being reviewed for publication In 'Braln Research,. LOTG support for WAVI has Involved fundlng three machlnes which have been deployed in testing at three rugby clubs In England, Another Demo Day product, Polarcap, a portable cooling system Intended to reduce exerclse-lnduced elevated braln temperature to prevent or limit long term cognltlve Impalrment after brain trauma, Is now being Used by professional teams in ice hockeyi football, rugby unlon and rugby league in multiple countrles, including testing by the natlonal rugby league team of Australla. In Ottober 2024 we held another demo day showcasing 'BrainEye', 'Concussion Toolkit, and 'Abbot'. Thls was our second fundralslng event at Holland and Holland and it was again generously supported by Unlspace. It was targeted at a selected audlence to help fund support for the tech companies who exhiblted. From an eady stage it was clear too that insufficient attention had been glven to prevention of concusslon, as opposed to recognition, treatment and management. LOTG had organised and provlded fundlng for a first Concussion Prevention Conference in 2022 and repeated that for a second conference in April 2024 in London, In partnershlp wlth the Unlvetsity of 8ath and Calgary Unlverslty. These onferences saw the creation of a new UK Concussion Prevention Network. A Steering Group and an Advisory Group have been set up to dellver the alms of the network and provlde governance and cornmunicatlon with key stakeholder organlsations. The Ctsnclusions of thls second conference wtsuld influence the way in whlch LOTG has moved forward In the perlod from mld 2024 to the present, as explalned below. LOTG takes a solutlons-based approach to the problem by worklng wlth athletes, technologlsts, academlcs and the business and financial communities to develop new technologles that wlll prevent, diagnose and treat head injuries in sport. Llke most sports, success Is the product of a whole team. Solving this crisis Is no different, We have brought together a unlque network of over 600 supporters representing the UK'S rnajor sports, government, academla, technology, SCIen￿ and buslness. We have forged new and producLlve relat10n5hip5 wlth major and grassroots sportlng clubs, research Institutes, charitable organSsation5 and major governlng sports bodies. Rather than focusing on the challenges of the past, LOTG'S aim Is to protect the players of the future and ensure that future athletes are protected from long term health risks that yesterday's and today's players have had to accept. Ln order to achieve thls and fulfil the objects OF the CIO, LOTG promotes a solutlons-based approach across three plllars education, science and technology whlch are of course not mutually excluslve. Educatlon Improvlng recognltlon of the symptoms of concusslon Positioning the long-term protettion of the head and braln as part of a player's tralning regimen and routlne Science Promotln9 more coherent Sha￿ng of Informatlon to ald In the Identlficatlon of dlagnosls tools Page 2

LOVE OF THE GAME REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 Developing a more soph15ticated method of identifylng the symptom5 and slgns of concusslon at the point of impact and for the use of proven bio-markers over the course of a player's Ca￿er Creating impact assessment wearables and big data analysls to grade rSsk and severfty of con¢u551on and the proper course of actlon needed Technology Promotlng multi-disciplinary collaboration (brfnglng together Investors, Inventors, researchers, cllnldans and sport5 experts) to accelerate product development, experirllentation and implementatlon. FINANCIAL REVIEW Principal fundin9 $ourceg The Accounts for the financial years 2024-2025 are attached to thls report. Key figure5 are Income of £32,866 and expenditure of £46,131. We ￿ceiVed a generous donation of £25,000 In August 2024 from the Rubln Foundation Charitable Trust, which helped fund our actlvlties Includlng the Concu55ion Prevention Conference. As noted in last year's accounts we received in May 2023 an Intere5t-f￿e flve- year loan from Lauren￿ Geller. The remalnlng ncome derives from fund-raising actlvitles at Demo Days and other events, through Indlvidual donations or proceed5 of charity auctlons, Thls Income is then directed towards fundlng indlvldual technology projects as mentloned or the runnlng costs of LOTG. Reserves pollcy During the accountlng period LOTG had no reserves. However, the current TNstees of LOTG agreed In early 2025 to set up a reseNe fiJnd for the following financial year comprising IO% of all future donations or contrlbutlons from fund-raising events. to ensure the organisation Is able to cover the cost OF any future oblSgatlons, Including the ￿paYment of any exlsting or future loans. FUTURE PLANS As noted, the first phase of LOTG was focused on helplng establlsh the baslc framewo￿￿5 and to influence and guide Government and sporting bodles. pollcy on concusslon In sport, especSally grassroots sport. The second Concussion ?￿ventIon Conference in April 2024 however highlighted areas where LOTG, and others, should increasingly focus their work. The Network set an ambitious target to reduce concussions in UK youth and communlty sports by 30% by 2030. Thls goal wlll be pursued and through Implementlng new policies and trainlng Inltlatlves, through equlpment Interventlons. The ctsnference concluded that education was key, both of players and teachers/organlsers. LOTG had recognlsed the Importance of educatlon early on and had enga9ed wlth leadlng organlsatSons such as Complete Concusslon and PodSum to determine the best way of gettSng the key messages across vla Apps etc. But the 2024 conference and its ambitious objectives have provlded the Smpetus for more actlon on our part In this area, We are in discussions with Complete Concussion on the provSslon of free onlSne tralnlng and have entered into a contractual relationshlp with Concusslon Toolklt, an organlsatSon whlch provSdes dlgltal tools and concusslon workshops, particularly for unlversities and schools, for them to be our delivery partner. Desplte thls Increaslng emphasis on educatlon, we have not stepped back from some of our earller activities, notably showcasing new technologles and processes, or work wlth the UK Concusslon Networf(. Both BralnEye and Abbot (biomarkers measuring tool), participants in the 2024 Derno Day, are now pursulng clear business opportunities eg Braineye with Stade Francais and Abbott with the Phllipplnes. And Concussion Toolkit's participation in that event led eventually to the arrangement wlth LOTG. We continue to search for emerging technologles of interest and are plannlng another Demo Day for the first part of 2026. In partnershlp wlth Concussion Toolkit, LOTG are helping to fund an education and awareness programme, InStlally throughout all universitie5 and public 5choo15 Wlthin the UK. Thi5 programme will then be extended to all natSonal schools and grassroots communlty sports clubs. Our goal Ss to provlde consistent awareness tralning to identify potentlal head injurles as they occur, gUIdan￿ on how to initiate appmpriate 'return to play. protocols and, if necessary, how to seek appropriate medical treatment and recovery. We also remaSn commltted to the UK Concussion Network whlch wlll be hostlng Its flrst face-to-face meeting in London in December 2025 and LOTG wlll be a key particlpant. Page 3
