Oltr 2022 report ended by meniioning the br¢akdown in ihe ¢hurch hall heating syst¢m. This was repaired in ¢arlylmid-February at ¢tsll5Ederable expens¢. as the original 100-y¢ar￿ld pipes had to be ¢otnpletelv replaced. During this period the hall wa5 unusable with an asso¢iated loss of hirer income. The loss of hall heating during the very Cold wearher served to underline several problem$ with the manse. which included inad¢quaie healing and Insulation, a cramped layout, al￿ unsafe staircase. li was apparent thai the manse ma). be uninhabitable going forward. The committee decided to rent alternative accommodation in nearby eli. Squar¢. and the minist¢T and his moved (heT¢ on 13 March. This is an interim measure until a longer ierni solution can be found. and imp05es a significant additional outlay.
