Review 1: The Impact of CPDs on Coaching
Keith – Volunteer Coach
"CPDs have been invaluable in shaping me into a more effective coach at Moss Bank Junior Football Club. The structured courses not only refine my tactical knowledge but also strengthen my understanding of child development, inclusivity, and engagement. Before undertaking CPDs, I focused mainly on drills and techniques, but now, I approach sessions with a deeper understanding of how young players learn and grow.
One of the best aspects of Moss Bank is how CPDs are encouraged to ensure continuous growth among coaches. The club creates an environment where learning never stops, and that directly benefits the children we coach. Every session now feels more impactful, and I feel more confident in my ability to nurture young players beyond just their football skills. CPDs here are more than just training; they’re a commitment to giving every child the best experience possible."

Working with young players from diverse backgrounds has shown me the importance of structured coaching in building confidence and resilience. The support from CPDs, fellow coaches, and the wider community ensures that every child feels valued and encouraged. Seeing the kids progress, not just in football but in their overall development, makes every moment worth it. Moss Bank isn’t just a football club—it’s a family, and volunteering here is a chance to make a genuine difference."

Hearing about how quickly it can take hold— losing money, lying to family, struggling with mental health—it really made an impact on me.
