## 3R FOUNDATION 76 Lancaster Road, Carnforth, Lancashire LA5 9LE Telephone: 01524 932125 www. **3rc** .org.uk ## Annual Report 3R Foundation – Registered Charity 1202342 ## Trustees Report: The Trustees of the 3R Foundation are pleased to submit their report and accounts for the year ended 1 Feb 2024. ## Governing Document: The organisation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Foundation Model) whose only voting members are its charity trustees, incorporated on 19th February 2023 and registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on 23rd March 2023. ## Charitable Objectives: To advance such charitable purposes according to the law of England and Wales as the trustees see fit from time to time, for the benefit of those living in North Lancashire and South Cumbria and the surrounding areas. ## Main Activities: The 3R Foundation raises funds for local small charities, community groups and clubs primarily (but not exclusively) in the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area through the 3R ('Recycle, Reuse, Rehome') Charity shop in Carnforth. We specifically aim to support organisations that have modest financial requirements that would otherwise have nowhere to turn to. We support charities, clubs and groups that offer benefits to the local community with quick and 'easy to apply for' lower value grant awards of £250, £500 and £1000. ## Review of Activities: During the first year of trading the Charity shop proved to be very well received and supported by the local community and exceeded all it’s sales forecasts. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
