Report from Main Trustee, Chris Jones
I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the past year, The impact of our projects in both Kenya and Ghana has been remarkable, and I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for their support, and state how excited I am for Village Projects Foundation to continue to make an impact. This year has seen the completion of two critical projects that have significantly enhanced educational facilities for students in both Kenya and Ghana. Project Sayansi in Kaimbaga, Kenya, provided a fully equipped science laboratory for the school, and Project Nunana in Frankadua, Ghana, successfully delivered 60,000 books and 25 computers to the library and computer laboratory we previously built. As we completed these two projects, we also laid the groundwork for two more: Project Lisha, aimed at providing a kitchen and dining facility to the students of Kaimbaga School in Kenya, is currently in the planning and fundraising stages. The current meal preparation conditions are hazardous and inadequate, and this project will significantly improve student safety and nutrition. Project Agbe in Ghana is focused on bringing clean drinking water to Retca School, a vital need for the health and well-being of the students. While we are proud of our progress, it's important to acknowledge the unique challenges we face as a young charity. Fundraising remains one of our biggest hurdles. Securing consistent and adequate funding is a challenge for many small and emerging charities like ours, as access to large grants and sponsorships can be limited.

Report from Main Trustee, Chris Jones
As we look forward to the next year, our primary focus will be on increasing sponsorship and donations. Building strong, long-term relationships with businesses, individuals, and trusts will be essential to scaling our efforts. We aim to establish a more diverse funding stream, reducing our reliance on a single major sponsor and securing the financial future of the Village Projects Foundation.
Additionally, we are excited to introduce fundraising events that will engage our local community and attract new supporters. Our vision is clear: we want to continue providing essential educational resources and infrastructure to underserved communities in Africa. With continued hard work, collaboration, and the generosity of our supporters, I have every confidence that we will meet and exceed our goals for the coming year.

2024-2025 objectives
Village Projects Foundation continues its mission to provide essential educational resources and infrastructure to underserved communities, with a focus on Kaimbaga in Kenya and Frankadua in Ghana. Our objectives for this year were centered around the completion of two key projects and the initiation of planning and fundraising for future endeavors.

2024-2025 objectives
- Increase Sponsorship and Donations: We will work to develop long-term relationships with corporate sponsors, trusts, and individual donors to secure a stable funding stream for future projects. Introduction of Fundraising Events: The coming year will see the introduction of more structured and frequent fundraising events, helping raise awareness for our cause while engaging with our local and extended community.

Project Sayansi (Kaimbaga, Kenya): The completion of a science laboratory that is now providing the local students with crucial access to modern scientific education resources.

2024/2025 upcoming projects
Project Lisha
Planning and fundraising have begun to build a kitchen and dining hall for Kaimbaga School, which will improve the health and safety of the students’ meal preparation. The existing cooking facilities are insufficient and hazardous, consisting of a fire in a corrugated iron roofed wooden shack.

For the public benefit
Village Projects Foundation has made significant strides toward its goal of providing education, technological access, and clean water to underserved communities. The direct beneficiaries of these projects include hundreds of students who now have access to better educational resources, healthier learning environments, and improved infrastructure.
The science lab in Kaimbaga (Project Sayansi) is already being hailed as a valuable asset, enabling students to learn and perform practical scientific work. Similarly, the library and computer lab at Retca School in Frankadua (Project Nunana) have seen remarkable usage, with students benefiting from access to reading materials and computer training, allowing them to stay competitive in the modern world. We have engaged with the communities to ensure that all efforts align with their direct needs, and we remain committed to providing educational resources that have a lasting and transformative impact on these communities.

2024/2025 challenges
One of our primary challenges remains expanding our base of donors and corporate sponsors to support our ongoing and future projects. We have already started to see some progress in this area with corporate sponsors outside of our main supporter, Jones Property Estates, beginning to come on board. This is a positive development that we intend to build upon in the year ahead.

financial review
Fundraising remains one of the most significant challenges for the Village Projects Foundation. As a young charity, we continue to develop and expand our network of supporters.
income
The main financial backing continues to come from our primary sponsor, Jones Property Estates, owned by Chris Jones, our main trustee. However, we have seen encouraging growth in corporate sponsorship, which is an area we are keen to expand in the coming year.
debt
The charity does not currently carry any significant debts, and we continue to operate within our financial means.
reserve policy
Our reserves policy is to maintain a balance equivalent to three months of operational costs. This ensures the charity can continue functioning effectively in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or funding shortfalls. We are currently meeting this requirement.
While our fundraising efforts are making progress, we are conscious that we must continue working hard to develop additional revenue streams to support our upcoming projects.

1. Accounting Policies

The accounts are prepared in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).

2. Income

Income from donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events is recognised when received.

Grant income is recognised when receivable.
3. Expenditure
- Expenditure on projects reflects the direct costs of running Project Sayansi , Project Nunana , Project Agbe , and Project Lisha , including materials, labour, and other project-specific expenses.
4. Reserves Policy
- The charity aims to maintain reserves to 20% of the years projects costs, which is currently set at £ 3,000. This ensures that the charity can continue its work even if fundraising income decreases temporarily.
5. Trustee Remuneration and Related Party Transactions
- No trustee has received any remuneration or benefits during the period.
6. Future Plans

The charity is committed to raising funds for Project Agbe (£5,000) and Project Lisha (£18,000) in the next financial year. Additionally, we plan to increase the
