The consLtuLon objects of Climate AcLon Wendover are:
The promo)on for the benefit of the public of the conserva)on, protec)on, and improvement of the physical and natural environment of Wendover and surrounding area, in par)cular:
1. by increasing biodiversity;
2. by raising awareness of the causes and impact of climate change;
3. promo)ng waste reduc)on, re-use reclama)on, recycling, use of recycled products and the use of surplus goods and food, and;
4. encouraging prac)cal steps to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and mi)gate the effects of climate change.
Achievements.
During the 2024-2025 financial year, Climate AcLon Wendover have undertaken the following public benefit acLviLes:

Maintenance of Walnut Tree Meadow planLng for biodiversity including tree maintenance (tree Le checking and removal, pruning) and removal of informaLon board prior to replacement.

Household energy informaLon stall at Wendover Local Produce Market

Maintenance of the Wendover WildBelt, an ongoing rewilding project for biodiversity and raising public awareness in partnership with the Chiltern Society and Wendover Parish Council. This included further tree planLng, grass clearance, woodchip surfacing and maintenance of gates and water collecLon.

Designing and raising funds for an interpretaLon panel for Wendover WildBelt to raise awareness of the area and to encourage public parLcipaLon in its ongoing maintenance and conservaLon.

HosLng regular People, Planet, Pints events at the King and Queen, Wendover, to promote the work of Climate AcLon Wendover and to encourage public engagement

Working with partners to reduce school traffic use at the Wendover schools campus site
