**ROTARY ON THE WIGHT CIO District 1110 Group 8**

## **TRUSTEES MEETING HELD ON 16.02.2026**

**Present:** Beryl Ely (Secretary) Ian Pratt (Past President) Clive Adkins (Treasurer)

## Accounts

The accounts for Rotary on the Wight CIO are reviewed each month at our Council Meeting.

The Accounts for the year 2024-25 have been agreed and independently verified. They were circulated to members before the Special General/Business Meeting on 20.1.26 and adopted unanimously. The Trustees were satisfied that they were accurate. Mike Coeshott and Mike Jukes were thanked for their hard work.

The Trustees will ensure that the annual return to the Charities Commission will be submitted before 30.4.26.

The Ryde Rotary Trust account is still in existence as there have been a number of amounts credited to the account from SumUp. We will try to resolve this anomaly and finally close the Ryde Trust account. It was noted that we will have to submit a return for this account to the Charities Commission for 2024-25 by 30.4.26.

David Langdon and Geoff Pike had stood down as Trustees in 2025 and Clive Adkins had been appointed a Trustee, making three in total.

## Fundraising Activities

The Trustees noted that Rotary on the Wight has 26 members who had again managed to raise a good amount for charitable giving through their fundraising efforts. We had managed to allocate a significant amount to local good causes, as well as to some of the international projects supported by Rotary International.

## Financial Position

1. The Trustees are satisfied that the Charity account was managed appropriately during the year 2024-25 and that the donations given out were awarded to suitable recipients.

2. At 1[st ] December 2025 the trustees were satisfied that we had enough funds in the Charity account to give donations to the local causes we wished to support at Christmas, with some to spare for donations during the remainder of the year to 30[th] June 2026.
