## **Trustees Report**

## **Financial Year ended 30[th] September 2024**

The trustees, who are also directors for the purposes of company law, have pleasure in presenting their annual directors’ report and the financial statements of the charity for the financial year ended 31 August 2024. These reports and statements are also prepared to meet the requirements for a directors’ report and accounts for the Companies Act purposes.

As the charity's gross income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have elected to prepare a Receipts and Payments Account and Statement of Assets and Liabilities, rather than full accounts.

The Trustees are thankful to God for the start of 10Giving, which they hope will have a significant impact in the years to come as ‘resource others as they point people to Jesus’.

## **Structure, Governance and Management**

## **Governing Document**

The organisation is a CIO registered on 6[th] March 2023.

## **Trustees**

New Trustees are short listed and discussed by the existing board of trustees. Those considered suitable are invited to join the board of trustees. The new trustees are fully inducted into the management structure of the Charity and all the requirements on them as trustees.

## **Risk Management**

The Trustees have assessed the major risks that the charity is exposed to and are satisfied that there are systems and procedures in place to minimise exposure to the major risks. Those major risks are reviewed regularly, along with the management procedures for dealing with them.

## **Organisational Management and Staffing**

The Trustees are responsible for the overall management of 10Giving. They meet quarterly online. Hannah Peace is the Charity Administrator who oversees the day to day running of the Charity. All grant decisions are seen and approved by Trustees. The Trustees review and approve policies to not only ensure compliance but best practice. Roy Collie, Group CFO for 10ofthose, assists the financial responsibilities and provides quarterly reports for the Trustees.

## **Activities and objectives**

This has been our first full year as a charity and it has been wonderful to see the growth in both income and grants we have been able to make. We thank God for the money that has been donated to 10Giving and for the resources we have been able to pass on.

There has been a steady flow of grant applications throughout the year, 113 in total, which have been received from the UK and overseas (mainly African nations).

Our aim is to ‘resource others as they point people to Jesus’. Whilst we have received a number of applications outside of this remit, our focus has been to support those who ask for physical resources (books and Bibles). We have improved our website so there is more clarity about our aims and the type of grant request we approve.

The resources which we donate are being given out on the streets, in churches, in prisons, at special events such as Christmas and Easter and in schools. We were pleased to be able to support a church giving out booklets about bereavement and hope that can be found in Jesus in Southport at a community event to commemorate the victims of the dreadful attack of 29[th] July. We supported a church with some books to start a library for their new toddler group and they were also able to give every new family who came along, a book to read to their child at home.

We have been able to support Christians in a number of African countries both with English Bibles and local language Bibles. We have worked with the African Pastors Fellowship to distribute these resources more widely.

## **Trustees Report**

## **Financial Year ended 30[th] September 2024**

Operating overheads are minimal (£1,748.31 for the year), predominantly relating to advertising and renumeration for hours worked by the Charity Administrator.

Our hope and prayer is that both the income and expenditure through grants will continue to increase in the years ahead as the charity becomes more established and more widely known.

## **Reserves Policy**

The trustees reviewed the level of unrestricted funds at the end of the financial year and decided to continue a risk-based approach to the level of reserves held. They consider £1,000 an appropriate level for free reserves, enabling them to address any issues arising from unforeseen costs, and free reserves at 30[th] September 2024 were £1,000.

Signed on behalf of the Trustees
