Financial review
The COIF Charities Deposit Fund is regarded as the Museum’s Brief statement of the contingency fund to help deal with unexpected events. At the end of charity’s policy on reserves 2024 it had £11,118. The Barclays no 1 (Friends) account is an account setup to deposit the generous donations from the Friends of the Museum. It is used to help fund special activities that may be arranged from time to time. At the end of 2024 it had £15,724. Details of any funds None materially in deficit

The total for essential payments (rent, insurance, BT, website fees and subscriptions) is £3,344.98. This exceeds by £1 ,637.18 the total of receipts from visitor donations and sales, which is £1,707.08. The deficit has been covered by grants and donations which have been more than usual during 2024 but cannot be relied on. 2. The Leicestershire County Council grant was for the purchase of equipment including: Sumup card reader (£94.82), a desk top computer (£799.99), and a laptop computer (£499.99) in 2024, and a landline 'phone purchased in 2023. Barcla sno1 Friends account 3. This account has a substantial balance of £15,724.00 which greatly exceeds the current account deficit, but is not intended to keep the museum running.
