|A descripton of the principal<br>risks facing the charity|Para 1.46|We currently have just aound 40 dogs in our<br>care awaitng their forever home and in the<br>past year, we successfully rehomed 56 dogs.<br>However, in ‘normal tmes’, this fgure would<br>usually be in the region of 110-120 and so our<br>kennelling costs are stll elevated.<br>There have been several underlying reasons<br>causing this fall, including the extraordinary<br>and unprecedented rise in running costs<br>throughout the UK.  Furthermore, due to the<br>cost-of-living crisis, owners are having to give<br>up their dogs due to not being able to aford<br>their upkeep, coupled with a decline in the<br>level of people seeking to adopt a dog when<br>compared with the ‘ordinary tmes’.<br>We will always remain totally commited to<br>saving dogs and, with the dedicaton of our<br>volunteers, we are working extremely hard,<br>pulling out all the stops to fundraise as much as<br>we can, in order that we can keep being there<br>for our incredible hounds.|
