The Charity held its first AGM in July 2024. At that time, the only
members were the Charity Trustees, as it had not yet been
possible to implement a membership management system that
protected the privacy and data of members to the satisfaction of
the Trustees. However, a data security expert had been consulted
and advised Trustees on how to proceed. At the AGM, it was
confirmed that, despite low income, the Charity was in a
sustainable financial position. The main focus of the Charity was
to open membership to the general public.

The Charity was able to formally open membership to the wider
public in January 2025, employing a membership management
system that protects members’ data in a GDPR-compliant manner

The Charity held its first AGM with non-Trustee members in
March 2025, at which charity members were given the opportunity
to share their perspectives on what they thought the areas of
focus for the Charity should be in the coming year. The strong
alignment between the existing priorities and those voted on by
members suggests that the Charity is continuing to meet genuine
needs of the community.

Three new volunteers joined the Charity during this period,
doubling the number of volunteers and expanding the collective
skillset. The areas of expertise of the new volunteers show strong
alignment with the Charity’s requirements.

The Charity’s members approved amendments to the
Constitution, making more explicit the provisions for virtual
meetings and electronic voting. This is key to ensuring the Charity
can continue to operate on its current scale with its current level
of income.

The Charity started developing professional audiovisual materials,
including graphics and video content, with the help of a volunteer

The main sources of expenditure during the period considered have been
the maintenance of a physical address and the hosting of a website. The
Charity’s website is a key tool for enabling it to pursue its objects,
allowing low-cost dissemination of knowledge about the condition to the
general public. The increase in available funds following the opening of
membership to the public allowed the Charity to start exploring the
production of higher-quality materials, pursuant to objects 1B and 1C,
although no funds were used for these purposes during this time.
