|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|This year The Barby Woodland Trust have:<br>• Constructed a Forest school area and<br>run 6 days of Forest school activities for<br>local children as well as 2 family events<br>at easter and Halloween<br>• Dug out a wetland area that will provide<br>important natural habitat for wildlife<br>• Weeded all of our 7000 planted trees to<br>ensure that they are able to grow<br>successfully<br>• Replaced 250 trees which have failed to<br>grow from the initial planting round<br>• Installed a number of benches and picnic<br>tables around the site<br>• Improved accessibility to the site by<br>constructing small bridges over water<br>flows and ditches<br>• Started to develop several wildflower<br>areas and have also planted 1000<br>bluebells<br>• Recruited trustees and volunteers who<br>regularly work on the site<br>• Maintained our positive relationship with<br>our local school and pre-school who now<br>visit the site regularly<br>• Installed a dog waste bin on site<br>• Developed positive relationships with<br>several locally based businesses who<br>have supported our work by providing<br>volunteers from their workforce as well<br>as funding and equipment|

We have also reviewed our annual<br>running costs and established a reserve<br>fund of 1.5 times our regular annual<br>expenditure.
