Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be (eg. appointed by, elected by) appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. 2. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. ## **Section C Objects and activities** The objects of the charity are: 1. To advance the Islamic religion in the UK for the benefit of the public, particularly but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings and producing and/or distributing Islamic literature to enlighten others about the Islamic religion. **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 2. To relieve poverty and sickness in Pakistan by assisting in the distribution of medicine, food and water, the provision of an ambulance service and the building of a new hospital, in particular, but without limitation, by the provision of grants. 3. To advance education in Pakistan by providing educational materials such as uniforms and equipment. 4.
