Financial Review
Total income for the year was £2,273.00, comprising small donations and grants. Total expenditure for the year was £2,955.97, covering food and essentials, insurance, transport, events, and a family trip. Although expenditure exceeded income in this financial year, the difference was covered through small reserves carried forward from the previous year, including a grant received at the end of October 2023 which was utilised for trip and coach costs. The trustees confirm that all funds were used responsibly for charitable purposes.
Reserves Policy
The trustees aim to maintain a modest reserve to cover essential costs in the event of funding gaps. This ensures continuity of core services such as food distribution, coffee mornings, and women’s wellbeing programmes.
Plans for Future Periods
From October 2025, Wish Foundation will start a Refugee & Migrant Women’s English Club to help women improve their English, build confidence, and reduce isolation. This project will support inclusion and create new opportunities for women and their families in Tower Hamlets.
