## **1, Accounting Policies**
This report and the accompanying financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) – Accounting and Reporting by Charities (2005), and the relevant provisions of the Companies Act 2006 applicable to small entities. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
## **Basis of Preparation**
The financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis and in accordance with the accruals concept, where applicable.
## **Incoming Resources**
- **Unrestricted Funds** : All funds received are classified as unrestricted and available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the charity’s objectives.
- **Collections** : Income from collections is recognized upon receipt.
- **Donations** : Donations are accounted for as income when entitlement, certainty, and measurement criteria are satisfied.
- **Event Income** : Funds raised during special spiritual program events are accounted for gross, before deducting any associated costs.
- **General Income** : All income is reported gross, without any deduction of related costs.
## **Fixed Assets and Depreciation**
- **Capitalization Policy** : The charity recognizes tangible fixed assets that are intended for long-term use and contribute to the delivery of its objectives. All assets that meet the charity’s capitalization criteria, based on their nature, purpose, and expected economic life, are included as fixed assets in the balance sheet.
- **Depreciation Policy** : Depreciation is applied to tangible fixed assets on a straight-line basis over their estimated useful economic life to systematically write off their cost or valuation, less any residual value. The depreciation rates are reviewed periodically to reflect the anticipated useful life of the assets.
## **Expenditure**
- **Recognition of Expenditure** : All expenditure is recognized on an accruals basis and reported gross.
