Aim and purposes The Parish of Holy Trinity BIng￿Y Parochial Church Council (PCC) has the responsibility of c(Foperating with the Incumbent, The Reverend Lindsay Pearson, in the ecclesiastical Parish in the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It also has responsibilities for the Trinity & All Saints Primary School, Bingley. The charity's objects Promokn'ng in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church. Objectives and activities SHARING THE LOVE OF GOD The PCC (Powers) Measure 1956 states that the PCC "18 to Co￿perate with the minister in promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic. social and ecumenical." In addition to that broad guidance to the working of the PCC. ￿ have defined a vision Statement for our parish as follows: We are a community dra￿ together and called on a journey by the love of God: a love which is inclusive and forgiving a love which tums upside down the values of the wodd a love which provides a fimi foundation for living a love which is expressed in Jesus Christ Our aim is to share with the wider community of which we are a part the Good New8 that no one is outside God's love: through worship through aC￿Ptan￿ of people as they are, wherever they may be on their own personal joumey through ministry to all people through provbding a place where people may feel they belong and can grow These statements and "strapline" provide a focus for the work we seek to do here, and a stsndard against which we may assess all that we do. For example, whenever we undertake a now project we may ask of il how does this help us to share the love of God? To facilitate this work. it is important that we maintain the fabric of our two churches, Holy Trinty and St WAlfrid's, and the Church Hall.

Proceedings of the Parochial Church Councll The work of the PCC. as usual, has been under-pinned by the wish to deepen the faith of parishioners and to grow our church for the ser41￿ of God. The PCC has held 7 meetings this year with an average attendance of13 members. This year, after over 30 years of service to the parish, the Revd Andrew Clark, gave us notice of his inlention to retire as incumbent on his birthday in November. Archdeacon Andy Jolley came to address the PCC with plans for what happens next. Future planning had been put in pla￿ when Revd Lindsay Pearson was appointed lo work across both our parish and St Michael's, Cottingley where she was appointed priest in charge. Both parishes would be served by 1.5 priests The Archdeacon also told us that the job of a mission priest on a 0.5 stipend would be advertised to work across both parishes afthough this could not happen until 30th August, 3 months before Andrew's retirement date. After a discussion, we as a PCC then agreed to have Revd Lindsay Pearson appointed as priest in charge in our parish too. Andrew's retirement celebrations y￿nt well on the feast of St Andrew, and on the following day we welcomed Lindsay as priest in charge The pattem of seNices has remained mostly unchanged except that we have a joint service with St Michael's on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m. this rotates round the Ihree churches. It is good to get together and worship in a larger group. The long-awaited quinquennial reportwas finally published. and the urgentjobs were taken care of, electrical checks in all the buildings, gutter cleaning and the path at HT and the grour)d at St Wlfrid's were cleared. On financial front. we finally received the legacy from Marjory Kendall which enabled us to tske care of SW Hall roof and also rts interior redecoration. were also able to agree to the installation of Audi Visual systems in both churches. A Bingley Lecture took place at HT on 24th October. given by Jemima Parker(Diocesan Environment Officer) on Climate Change, over 30 people were in attendance. Safeguarding is discussed at every meeting.
