## **2. Structure, Governance and Management** 

Kit 4 Kenya is governed by a constitution and operated by a board of trustees. Trustees are appointed through a board resolution and provided with an induction, including their legal responsibilities. The charity is run entirely by volunteers and operates from its principal address in the UK. 

## **3. Objectives and Activities** 

The charity exists to support underprivileged communities in Kenya through the power of sport, primarily by: 

- Collecting and repurposing football kits and sportswear in the UK 

- Shipping them to youth teams and communities in Kenya 

- Running fundraising and awareness campaigns via schools and social media 

- Building a network of ambassadors to expand the initiative 



The trustees confirm that they have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in planning the charity’s activities. 

## **4. Achievements and Performance** 

In the reporting year 2024, Kit 4 Kenya: 

- Collected and sorted over 3,000 full kits 

- Took on 10 student ambassadors in 2024 who all helped fundraise for the charity 

- Distributed kits to 7 teams across Kenya 

- Grew our social media presence 

- Secured relationships with schools for future collaboration 

## **5. Financial Review** 

Total income for the year was **£6381** raised from: 

- Individual donations 

- Fundraising events and merchandise sales 

- Ambassador-led initiatives 

Expenditure totaled **£5131** covering: 

- Shipping and logistics 

- Marketing and branding 

- Web, admin, and set-up costs 

- Travel 

Reserves Policy: The trustees aim to maintain 3 months of operating reserves. At 31 December 2024, the reserves stood at £10,097.78, which meets this target. 

Debts: The charity has no outstanding debts. 

## **6. Custodian Trusteeship** 

Kit 4 Kenya does not hold any funds as a custodian trustee on behalf of others.

Although the charity had a net surplus of £1,250 during the financial year, the increase in the bank balance appears smaller (£140.54) due to regular transfers to a separate **savings account** . This account is used to **safeguard funds and earn interest** , ensuring better longterm financial stability for the charity.
