ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
2023 saw the e$￿￿lShment of King's Church Basingstoke as a new churth. I￿ring this
period, began to meet together at Manor Fields Junior School in Basingstoke. This
Ven￿ was chosen partly because it ￿ldeS WTthin one of the most deprived regions of
Basingstoke. The sthool has one of the highest rates of pupil premium thildren in the UK.
The church has supported the school and local communtty wyth..
The provision of volunteers in a variety of areas.
. Support of school Govemors.
. In December the Church paid for the students to go to a theatre performance. This
would have been a first experience of this kind for many of the children.
• offer of friendship and practical support within the communty.
In addition, the church has devised bible tsathing programs that a￿ beneficial to thurth
members and the loca5 community.

R￿p￿S policy
The diarity is funded with an expectation to spend all public funds which are re￿ived,
and tr*refore has a policy not to maintain excessive reserves. The level of reserves held is
mt)nitored regulady by the board of trustees to ensure that sufficient funds are available
to meet the chality's liabilities and 061igations as they fall due. The Charity requires
annual reseNes of around £15.(KM) to meet its obligations. As of 31 st December 2023 the
charity held furKls of £58,865.
Public Benefft Reporting
The Twstees confirm t￿￿t they have referred to the guidance contsined in the Charity
Commission's general guidan￿ on public benefit when reviewing the charitys aims and
objectives and in pla)nin9 firture activities and setting the grant making policy.
Risk managenEnt
The main risk for the organisation is a reduction in donations being received due to
ecorx)mic arcurnstan￿. However, the trust has low ovetheads and a stsble level of
donations. therefore the trustees don't consider this to be a major risk at present
sfRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Goveming document
The charity is controlled by its goveming document (trust deed). adopted on 17th
December 2022.
Recruitrnent and appointment of trustees
The Chaimian and the Board of Trustees were selected for appointment on merit,
through a fair and open recruitiment process.

All new Trustees receive various documents detailing the legal obligations of Trustees.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBIUTIES
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial
Statsments in accordan￿ with applicable law and regulattons.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting recor& that are wfficient
to show and explain the charity's transactions and disdose with reasonable accuracy at
any time the finanaal position of the charity and enable them to ensu￿ that the financial

statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
In so far as each of the Trustees is aware:
. there is no relevant inf0m￿tIOn of which the tharity's independent examiners are
unaware; and
. the Trustees have tsken all steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves
aware of any relevant infOnT￿tIon and to establish that the independent examiners are
aware of that information.
Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of
financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above 

charity ( “the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

**Responsibilities and basis of report** 

- As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”) . 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
