**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO THE SCIENCE AND PRACTICE OF THE PREVENTION AND MITIGATION OF THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF FIRE AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF ANY SUCH RESEARCH.

**Activities:** The IAFSS encourages research into, and the application of, science and engineering to prevent and mitigate the adverse effects of fires and provides a forum for sharing and disseminating this knowledge. IAFSS offers valuable resources to members, including free access to our official journal, Fire Safety Journal, and to past symposium proceedings.
