## **Delivering the Public Benefit of the Charity**

The charity aims to preserve and protect the natural and physical environment. Examples of work undertaken during this first period to achieve this are:

1. complete and document a survey of the whole area which will be regularly updated. This will allow monitoring and comparison of changes and help create a prioritised list of work needed.

2. Undertake repair works along the Navigation

3. Create and implement an overall Volunteer Strategy and work with HCC to create the INPT HCC Path Warden Scheme.

4. Work alongside other charities and organisations to undertake specialist surveys and contribute to projects such as those looking to protect Salmon and Water Voles etc.

The charity also aims to provide a source of information and training for the public benefit. Work has started on creating a website after setting up IT structures and records needed as a foundation. Social media has been used to offer guidance and information and this facility will be expanded.
