curr8nt charity was changed from a foun(Jation type Gharity to a charitab￿ Incorpordted Organisation in February 2023. AII

a thanty are not able to help patients we do referenqUIr￿ to them.
FUND RAISING- Funding 1$ p￿d￿mInantty generated by donation from patients and their relatives and from
supportpie groups. We wll be attending a fundraising quiz in th8 near future, but not plan additional swnfficant
fundral$lng a¢tfvity at P￿Sent.

those wailing on Ilsts for tr2nsplants, butwe also airn lo support all Iho$e that have had 8 di8gTh)s(8 of chronic
kSdney aisease from one of the thr¢9 units managed by UHNMT. As well as prgvidin9 a¢vl¢o to individuals. the
NSSCKPA advocates for bsst practice and tr8atsnents to all kndney patients from the NHS and activety ￿)bb￿S other
I￿al govemmeni organTsalons on their behaw.

Convetsion from an Assoclation to 8 COI
In February 2023 the charity made application to the Charty Comrni5s¥)n to convert frorn a foUndat￿n to a COI. Th8 primary
need for thls ¢hange arose as a Tesuli of a loss of Contact wfth the NSSCKPA rr*mbership due to COVID. Under
foundatK)n there was a need to h8v8 participation of m&rnb&rs in decision maklng and th& change to a COI has enatled the
de¢isK>n m#￿'n9 to be m8de bythe Trustees only.

The charity'5 website w35 not funcboning as ft should ané as such it was agreed to review and update il In. Subsequendy 8
contract was let to a small consutsryto do the update. ThLq work continuing &t the Ime of issue of tt)ls ￿port.
Transport
This was, and continues lo be. a major issue. There have been many com ￿aints made by p8ts"8nts relating, In the malft, to
the performance of the Norpemergency Palienl Transport Service. Thls Serv￿e Is not the r8srM)nsibilty of lh$ UHNMT but It
is the re8ponsibS1ty of the ICB'S for our area.
Init￿allY Ihè Issue$ with transport were identified some 30 month8 ago and slnce thai time we have lobbied th? UHNMT an
the local ICB'5 to take action. The problems rovolve around earty pick-up. deley5 to aFriving home and availabilty. These
