TARA CARE UK is dedicat￿ to the relief of sickness and the preservation ofhealth for the
poor in India, wtth a focus on eye care. Our missÈon is to provide financial assistance for
medical treatment for those suffering from blindness or other eye conditions. tn additio￿ we
support the provision of eye ¢ar¢ fa¢ilities and wipmcnt to improve access to treattnent,
esp¢¢ially for the most disadvantaged. This re￿rt outlines the activiti¢4 acht¢vements, and
financial ststus of the charity for the period fn)m 9 Febnthry 2023 to 31 m￿Ch 2024.

As trustee5 of TARA CARE UK we confimi that we hav¢ fiJlfill￿ our respo￿81b11[tieS to
ensure the Charity op¢rat¢d in line with its charitable objectiv&s during the reporting period.
W¢ have overseen the allocation of funds, ensuring wer¢ US￿ effectively to support eye
care services and other initiatives for the poor ill lodi& This report reflects our dedicatiotk to
transparency, acgountability, and delivering tangible impact in the communities we serve.
3. Objectives and Activities
Mission alld Purpose:
TARA CARE UK'S mission is to support the p)OT in tndia by providing financia] assistance
for eye treatments, including cataract surgery and other necessary eye Ca￿ &s well as
supporting the establisbtnent and n￿l￿tenance of eye care infrastructure.
Key Acti￿tIes.
During the reporting peri(KL TARA CARE UK h&8 undertsken the following activities:
Eye Camps and Cataract Surgerie5: We organised 10 eye camps in various
locations, where 71 CAtaract surgeries were perforni￿ on individuals suffering from
cataracts.
Support for Udalpur Eye Hospital: In partnership with Udalpur Eye Hospital, we
fimded 292 cataract surgerie5 for poor individuals diagnos¢d at the hospital,
ensuring th¢y had a￿esS to the treatment they urgently nethd.
Old Age Home Support: We also focused on th¢ w¢lfar¢ of ¢lderly individuals by
adoptillg 2 residents for one year at an old age home in Udalpur, providing them
with food, shelter. and care. In additioll, we ensured that 40 other residents of the
same old age home were provided with food and daily sustenanc¢.
These activities were made possible thmugh the generous donations and supp)rt of our
partners. volunteers, and donors, enabling to addr￿ both immaiate and long-t¢rn] n¢eds
in the communities we serve.

4. Acbievements aDd Impact
TARA CARE UK'S initiatives d￿]ng the period from 9 February 2023 to 31 M￿Ch 2024
have had a profound impact on the lives of thos¢ w¢ serv￿.
Eye Camps: Througb tb¢ 10 eye Camps organised, we were able io provide free eye
examinations, diagnoses. and cataract sUrg￿les to indivÈthwls who would oth¢rwisc
not have had access to Care. 71 catydract surgeries were completed. restoring sight
and irnproving th¢ quality of life for those who were suffering from preventable
blindness.
Cataract Surgerles at Udalpur Eye Hospital: At Udalpur Eye HospitAL a total of
292 cataract surgerles were perfoTtn& gAving individuals from impov¢rish¢d
backwunds the opportUDity to regaill their sight and lead ind¢p¢ndent lives.
Support for the Elderly: l)ur adoption of 2 residents for one year at tbe old age
home in Udalpur has provided these irLdividuals with the necessary ¢ar¢ and dignity in
their later years. In addition, 40 other elderly residents benefited from regular food
proTrisions, ¢nsurAng th¢ir basic neats were met.
Conllllunity Outrea¢h: By organising these activities, we r¢a¢h¢d num¢rous
individu￿$ in und¢TherY¢d areas who would not have had ￿CesS to eye care or elderly

will be used to support the continuatton and expansion of our progrdms iu th¢ ￿ture,
particularly in providing additional eye care services atml increasing the reach of our elderly
support initiatives.

6. Governance and Structhre
Trnstee Board:
The governallce of TARA CARE UK is overseen by a board of trustees. who are responsible
for ensuring th¢ charity operates effedively and in line with its charitable missiorL The

7. Future Plans
Looking ah¢ad, TARA CARE UK plans to expand its impact and continue providing
essential services to those in need. Our key objectives for the upcoming y¢ar include:
Increaslng Eye Care Access: We attn to orgaDise additional eye camps and provide
support for more eataract surgerie8 to fftndividuals in ne&t
Expandlng Support for Elderty Care: We plan to adopt tllore residents at the old
age home in Udalpur, extending support for their fool slL¢lter, and health neas.
Eye Care Facility Development: We will continue supporting eye Care hospitals alld
clini¢s by providing fimding for essential wipment and infrdstsucture.
Aw8rell¢ss and Outreach= We will rdmp up awaren¢ss ¢ampaigns in rurnl areas,
encouraging carly detection and treatment of eye conditions to prevent blilldDess.
