Trustees’ Annual Report

The Being Foundation

(Charity Registration Number – 1201892)

From 1[st] January 2024 to 31[st] December 2024

Objectives and Activities

The primary objective of The Being Foundation (“the Charity”) is to support people through life’s ups and downs. The Charity believes everyone deserves the chance to move forward with confidence, even when life gets tough. That’s why the Charity invests in people and communities who need a helping hand to rebuild, grow and thrive.

Our mission is to empower individuals at every stage of life. Whether we’re supporting someone facing personal challenges or backing the organisations that walk alongside them, our focus is always on lasting impact. We work with those making a real difference - from grassroots charities to large-scale community projects – helping to build a stronger future for generations to come

Achievements and Performance

Following on from the successful ski trip in 2023 for children who had previously suffered burns injuries, the primary activity of the Charity during the financial period has been the research and planning for next ski trip to take place in the first quarter of 2025.

From previous experience it has been found that the ski trip has proved extremely beneficial to these children in providing them the opportunity to travel, experience, in most cases, a new environment and learn a new skill.

Financial Review

During this period, receipts of £14,278 were received from several donors. Expenses of £18,919 were incurred primarily relating to the flight and accommodation costs of the planned 2025 ski trip and minor administrative expenses.

The cash reserves available at the end of financial year amount to £15,857 which represents the cash reserves brought forward of £20,498 plus receipts less the expenses. Reserves are retained to contribute towards other activities and experiences for eligible beneficiaries of the Charity.

The financial statements have been prepared on a cash basis adopting the “Receipts and Payments Accounts” template provided by The Charity Commission of England and Wales. The full breakdown of the donations and expenses are included as the appendix to the financial statements.

Donations and further fundraising activities have continued during the current financial period and the Trustees are confident that the Charity will remain as a going concern.

Structure, Governance and Management

The Charity is governed by its Constitution as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (“CIO”) whose Trustees are the only voting members. There have been no amendments to the Constitution since the registration of the charity on 9[th] February 2023.

Additional policies will be put in place accordingly depending on relevance and risk to the Charity’s operations.

The Charity is managed by a group of nine trustees providing a wide range of experience to support and manage the charity.
