Objectives and Activities
The Being Foundation (“the Charity”) exists as a secure charitable foundation, supporting projects that have impact and legacy across generations.
Several of the trustees have been closely involved with Manchester Children’s Hospital and also Colorado Children’s Hospital in residential camps for burn survivors.
Our objective in to continue to improve the care, rehabilitation and psychological wellbeing of these children through summer and winter residential camps, single day activities and overseas exchange programmes.
Achievements and Performance
injuries the opportunity to travel to the French Alps to participate in a week-long ski trip with a strong support group of volunteers and ski instruction provision. This experience provided most of the children on the trip their first opportunity to travel by air, to be in a snowy mountainous environment and to learn how to ski as a new skill.
This was such a successful expedition a subsequent trip is planned for 2025.
Financial Review
During this period, receipts of £71,683 were received from over separate twenty donors and numerous fundraising activities. The only expenses incurred during his financial period were related to the planning visit and actual ski trip and totalled £51,185. The expenses included as flights, accommodation, food and beverage, ski instruction, ski passes and other incidental payments.

Structure, Governance and Management
The Charity is governed by its Constitution as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (“CIO”) whose Trustees are the only voting members. There have been no amendments to the Constitution since the registration of the charity on 9[th] February 2023.
Additional policies will be put in place accordingly depending on relevance and risk to the Charity’s operations.
The Charity is managed by a group of nine trustees providing a wide range of experience to support and manage the charity.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of The Being Foundation
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Being Foundation (the Trust) for the period from 9 February 2023 to 31 December 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
