**The structure of the charity:** It’s a Charitable Incorporated Organization with 3 trustees and no employees. 

**Activities and objectives:** The purpose of this charity is to promote the health and survival of babies and children with a focus on perinatal forms of brain injury. We achieve this by undertaking and promoting research for the public benefit regarding the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of perinatal forms of brain injury and illnesses that affect newborns. We advance the medical treatment of newborns by promoting collaboration between healthcare professionals and fund inter-disciplinary research to ensure that all patients receive the appropriate medical care at each stage of their life. At this moment Save Our Babies is not directly providing treatment, it's funding medical research that will eventually lead to new medical treatments being developed. For example, we funded medical research that investigated how to repair damaged brain tissue that occurred at birth as a result of oxygen deprivation. This research will hopefully lead to medical interventions that can repair the brain tissue that has been damaged at birth. 

**Achievements and performance:** Our achievements this year are nonexistent. I (Elliot-founder and treasurer) had a significant and unforeseen change in my professional circumstance which meant that I had to spend a lot of time in work and had little time to devote to the charity. A similar thing happened with our chair. Our secretary, Nathaniel had to leave as he is too busy with other commitments. We are meeting this week (29.07.23-04.08.24) to decide on recruiting a couple of new trustees. As a result of these mentioned factors, we had virtually no activity. However this is now changing as now I am free to devote far more time to the charity as are the other trustees hence within the next few months there will be a significant increase in charitable activities. 

## **Financial position:** 

The year end bank balance is £4,957.63 with no outstanding debtors, creditors or loans. We have plenty of money to cover the following years expenditure.
