obtained on 24° April 21K)6.
Objects. Promotion of Community participation in healthy recreation and health related fitness
programmes for Residents of Porthcawl and surrounding ar￿. The main activity in relation to the
Objects is the running of facilities at LA)cks Iane.Porthcawl. In planning our Activities the Tnths
m￿St have due regard to guidance by the Charity Commission on public iKnefiL
Achievements *nd Performanc& Similar to last yearfs Rewrt A&set Trdnsfer is not yet
ompleted. Progress has been made on the Leases in so much as the Football Club and the Cricket
Club have taken st¢ps to enhance their w>sition regarding seeking Grants from their Tespective
Governing Bodies. Both Clubs Teams covering all Age Groups. Whilst the F￿tball Club only
have a few girls playing in the younger ages the Cricket Club have a Ladies Team and from the
current Seaso￿ 2025 have introduced an Under 8 girls tranL.
Problem still remains over the Le￿￿ &$ the IAKal Authority are insisting th* the Clubs must be
responsible for the maintenance of trees and hedges on the Fulmar Road side of LLKks IAne.
We are disputing this &$ we do not have the knowledge or the nece&w quipment to eaTry Out this
responsibility or indeed the finances. Currently we are tying to atrdnge a Meeling with the Local
MP, hopefully lo get his suptM)rL
Wrongly thinki￿ the I￿SeS We￿ immiMt it was agreed that from the I" Odober 2024 the Clubs
would tske direct resp)nsibility for all expenditure on their respective buildings and pitches with
the P.A.A. ceasing to charge Subscriptions. This leaves P.A.A. reswnsible for the time being for
Insurance costs and the need to ttansfv the Club Prerni￿ Licence to the Football Club.
When this is all resolved it would seem the useful life of Portbcawl Athletic Association will come
to an end.
