Objects The object of Churchos Togethér in Penrith is the advancement of tha Christian religion, the relief of povety and the advancement of education and any oth•r purposes, which are charitabl• according to the law of England and Wal88. 2. Actlvltles Churches Togother in Penrfth (or CTIP) is an umbrella organlsatlon 8UPPOrtlng the church member3 in their activities, whlch includes, a Food bank, Debt Counselllng and cash managemen( a Job Club. a Charity retail shop, Lenten Lunches, the Good Friday "Walk of Wltness" and a ￿eklY tea service for the lonely and th08• ￿th dementia. CTIP dirnctly operates a Linking Live8 project aimed at helplng and supportlng peopla, who are lonely. It employs 1 part time member of Stsff. The project has successfully attracted grant support for its work. At the date of writing this repor( it has successfully recruited 18 volunteers and has 22 active referrals. Referrals are re¢eived from a variety of agencios both NHS linked as well as local authority linked. A number are recelved from families. Voluntsers either visit the lonely people on a weekly basis or there is a weekly ts18phone conversation. Other dlroct actlvltles Include "A Day in the Lakes". This Is a day out In tho Lako District for individuals and families. who are refugees or asylum seekers awalting a decision on their futura, currently living in Newcastle, A free coach is provided together with a lull day of activities and food by Ullswater lake. In addltlon, CTIP provldes a booklet called "Its Your Move" to all children leaving the local Primary schools, to help them with the move to Secondary school. 3. The Trustees are satisfied that all activities were carrled out In accordance with the Charity's Objects and Charity law and guidance. They nots the continued succass of the Linking Lives project and the help providad to lon•ly people. 4. New Charlty As agreed, the forniation of a new charity to tako over the Llnking Llve8 project was progressed during the year. Unfortunately. this took far longer than anticipated, but the Tru8tees are dellghted to confirm that a new charity, Penrlth Linking Live8, a Charitsble Incorporated Organlsation, was Successfully registered on tha 4th March 2026, reference numbor 1217094. Stsps will now be taken to transfer the activities of the Linking Liv68 project to this new charity as soon as possiblo. S. Financial Review At 1st January 2025, CTIP had an overall opening balance of £5.614.84. Income in tha year to 31st December 2025 was £16,390.60 with expenditura of £14,974.64 resulting in a ¢108ing balance of £7,030.80.

Financial Roview (continued) Included in these balanco¥, the Linking Lives project had an opening balance of £3,238.39, income in the year of £15,000.00 and •xpenditure of £13,299.75 Ilncluding Household Support Grants paid out of £1,375.00 and transfers to Churches TogetherlOth•r Activiti•s balanc• for administration of £125.00), resulting in a closing balance of £4,938.64. Income from the various Fundars is normally paid in advance of the period of expenditure. Funders receive regular reports on how their grants have been expended in accordance wlth thelr requlrements. Other activitles had an oponing balance of £2,376.45. Income in the year was £1,390.601plus tho transfer from Housahold Support Grants detailed al>ove) and expenditure was £1,799.89, rnsulting in a closing balance of £2.092.16. The principal source of funds for all oth•r activities is subscriptions and donations from the member churches and thoif congragations. Th8 Trusteas are Satisfied that there are no concerns about tho viability of CTIP on an ongoing basis. There are sufficient checks in place, together with regular compreh•nsiv• reports to satisfy their responsibilities.
