rellglon, the rellef of poverty and the advancement of educatlon and any other

Churthes Together In Penrlth (or CTIP) Is ￿ umbrnlla organlsatlon supportlng
the church members In thelr actmtles, whlch Includes among other actlvltles, a
Food banK Debt Counselllng and cash nMnagemenL a Job Club, a charfty r•tall
Shop and a vfftkly tea semce for the lonely and those wlth demeniia.
Churches Together In Penrfth dlr•cdy operates a Unklng Uv•$ project almed at
helplng and supportlng people, who are lonely. 1 part tlme member of
staff. The project has successfully attractsd grant support Its work. At the
date of wrltlng thls reporL tt has successfully recrulted 18 volunteers and has 26
actlve referrals. Referrals are recelved from a varlety ol agencles both NHS
Ilnked a6 well as local authorfty Ilnk¢d. A number are recelved from fam111￿.

telephone Gonwrsatlon.
Other dlrect actMtl•s Include "A Day In the Lakes". This Is a day out In the Lak•
Dlstrlct for Indlvlduals and famllles, who are refugees or asylum seekers
awaltlng a declslon on thelr future, who are currently Imng In Newca8tle, A free
coach Is pmlded together wlth a full day ol actlvltles and food at Ullswater
lake.
3. The Trustees are satlsfled that all actlvldes caffled out are In accordance wlth
the Charfvs Objects and Charfty law and guldance. They note the Successful
start to the Llnklng Uves prolect and the help provlded to lonety people. The
posltlve feedback frorn those dlrectly Involved and othern, to the Llnklng Llves
project and the Day In the Lakes Is eKouraglng.

At 1•t January 2024 CTIP had an ¢)vff*i opnlng balance of £11,545.24. Income
In th• year was £4,978.90 vAth expndlture of £10,909.30 re6ultlng In a ¢108lng
balance of £5,61&8
Included In these balance8, the Unklng Llvu woject had an openlng balance of
£8.790.96, Income In the year of £4473.IM) and expendlture of £10,026.57
(Indudlng Household Support Grants pald out of £4073.00 and transfers to
Churches Toootherlother Actmtles balance for admlnlstratlon of £427.00),
resultlng In a closlng balance of £3.238.39. InGome from the varfous Funder5 [•
normally pald In advance ol the perlod of expendlture. Funders recelve regulaf
report8 on how thelr grants have trAen expended In accordance wlth thelr
requlrements.

Other actlvlties had an openlng balance of £2,7M28. Income in the year was
£505.90 plus the transfer from Household Support Grants detalled above and
expendfture was £1.310.73, resultlng In a doslng balance of £2.376.45.
The prfnclpal source of funds for all other acllvltles Is subscrlptlons and
donatlons from the memb•r churches and thelr congregatlons.
The Trustees are satlsfied that there are no concems about the vlablllty of CTIP
on an ongolng basls. There are sufflclent checks In place. together wlth regular
comprehenslve reports to sattsty thelr respon8lbllltle8.
5. Structure, Governance and Managen*nt
CTIP Is a Charltsble Incorporated Organlsadon, whose reglstered number 1$
1201866. It adopts the model constltutlon. as recommended by the Charlty
Commlsslon.
