Tiny Feet Preschool is a non-profit child early years centre focused on offering high-quality, inclusive early years child education to children aged 2-5 years old, in our local community, particularly those living in families that have financial or other forms of hardship. We aim at providing every child with optimum start in life by providing safe and nurturing environment where childhood learning fosters confidence and social development and school readiness. Last year, we received income through governmental granting of early years from our local authority. The money has assisted us to offer low-income families a place, invest in staff training and staff protection, improve our learning materials and outdoor play devices and offer focused assistance to children with extra requirements. Tiny Feet Preschool has remained determined to advance the performance of children of young age and uplift the families of our community to allow children to thrive.

Tiny Feet Preschool has a board of volunteer trustees who govern, provide a strategic direction and financial oversight of the charity and ensure that the running of the preschool is within the charitable goals and all the regulatory conditions. The trustees determine policies, oversee safeguarding and health and safety principles, ratifying budgets and assessment of funding programs and functioning closely with the Preschool Manager, in charge of daily operation of the setting, personnel management, curriculum provision and interaction with families. The charity also employs open and transparent systems to recruit trustees by promoting vacancies to parents and carers.. The trustees are identified through these criteria by the board of trustees who are also required to have competencies and experience in certain areas of the charity like finance and early years learning, as well as safeguarding and the board also requires a balanced combination of these. New trustees undergo induction that enables them to get familiar with their legal obligations and operations of Tiny Feet Preschool so that when they are included in the workforce of Tiny Feet Preschool, they are well equipped to join the leadership and to make the charity sustainable in the long run.

Tiny Feet Preschool runs its operation by using income to ensure that it provides high-quality early years education and is implemented with its charitable aim which makes learning to be accessible to all children in the society and is inclusive. The funding acquired with the help of government early years entitlements and grants is mostly used in hiring qualified and experienced personnel, adequate staff to child ratios and constant professional development to guarantee high quality of care and protective services. The funds are also applied to buying the educational material and sensory and creative material as well as creating both indoor and outdoor learning space that encourages physical development, communicative ability and social interaction. These investments have direct benefits on both the children and the parents since they can enjoy in a safe and stimulating environment whereby the children get to develop confidence, independence and readiness to attend school and the parents enjoy an affordable and reliable childcare service, easy access to early support services when one has concerns and assurance that their children are in a well-developed and caring atmosphere.
