Flnancial Review
MS-CAS has benefftted from 2 donatlons of £12,SIX) in 2023 and 2024
frorn the MS Society. being funds transferred and ralsed by the former
MS S¢xlety of Macdesfield. The comblned monie5 totalinz £25.0￿ has
enabled the charity to get etsblished and be in a position to provide
regular support and help to the MS community.
In 2024, Legacies were received of £11,061 and £1.910 in Memory of
people who have passed a￿dy. These monles, together with the MS
donatlon of £12￿ above. wefe part of a total income of £37,692 for
2024.
Expendtture for 2024 amounted to £25,431. of which £23.761 {93X}
was the provision of Consultancy. Counselling. Exerclse Sessions and
Soclal events for the MS community In Macclesfield.
The comblned income for the first 2 years amounted to £55.491. of
whlch £28,723 was hekl in bank accounts. Most ot the bank balance Is
held In an Interest bearing deposit attount.
The M&CAS is in a strong financial position. and Its bank balance held
Is equal to the running costs of a period approximatlng to one year.
Independent Examlner
The Trurtees appolnted Mr Davkl R S Welth FCA, Dc￿ Chartered
Accountant. ICAEW. to be the Charlrfs Independent Examlner for 2024, as
the annual Income exceeded the Income threslKAd of £25.IXKI.
