On a govemance pefspective. thetrustees have worked to agree a°soft- membership number cap of 40 thatwili caFrythrouth to subsequentyears. This balances simple aaS ofconsideration such as rehearsaland stage space as weu as safeguarding rati08 etc. The society continues to wn against the same open auditions prinGipie for new members and show principal parts. As a link trom the rnembership to financial section it is worthy to note that the society has FIOW moved to a simpler membership fee modelthat ensures that alloverheads are covered and done so equally thiouEhout the members with either an annual payrnent or instaiments schedule. which is managed by ourtreasurer on a 1.1 dk8cretionary ba81S. The twstees have concentrated on both overall solvency as w1 as lookingto build financial support to e8tsbLish technical equipment sew-sufficiency. Throughout the year. the societys financial position has strengthened. The tru8tees look to ensure a minimum workn.ng balance of £5.OIXJ which enable the society to cover yearly liabilities as wellas fund the purchase of the license for the foLi(wingyear's
show. We ha¥e been able to ensurethatwe awe cortstamiy above this figure as 8 result ofgood budget managementthrouEh low expenditure on areas such as Costumes. set & props. and a focus on ensuringgoixl show income through ticket sales and front of house fund raising. Balancingthesa alemerts means that th8 society has generally broken even on its main shrA•4 whilst making srnallprofitsfrom the annual lcert. This positive financial position has enabled the societyto tske advantage of signing proactive kn"cense agreements an(J paying rightsfees for our 2025 which will be L8S Misérables. Alongside the societys general income and expenditure modeL the society is thankfijl to have been awar(Jed severaigrants (funding amountswillappear in the financial statement ofthe submission) from local business and ¢haritabie trusts that have enabled the purchase of audio equipment {specifically 11 radio microphones. a speaker set and general connectivÉty infrastructure) as we build towards the ambition of technical seif-sufficiency. The joum8y to seif-sutticiencywiu conliwe as the trustees IUld estimate the ambition would totalapproximatety£20.000. Across the report.
