Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year Setting up the forest school We carrEd out eXten￿ve work in 2024 to further improve our forest sch¢￿1 including clearing and seth.ng up the site, reviewing governance including the constltution and wlicies and pr￿edUreS, recruiting voEunteers and running sessions. We also implemented a bwkir system via Setmore. Fundraising We successfulty raised funds through various sources to support our forest schcK)l including funds from SU￿eY and Tandridge Council, the Tandridge lottery. Tandndge Sparks and donatsons bequeathed followirKJ the death of our trustee Sarah Dunnell. Sarah Dunnell successfully implemented our Justgrving account before passing away. We again attendaj local events. dressed as Wul￿els, to promote our forest school including Blanchman's fair. Warlingham Lights and Woodlea primary schcM)I Sessions Forest school sessions We ran 62 f￿ paying sessicffls thr(￿hOul 2024 including Toddler Clubs, pnmary school sessions and holiday clubs Duke of Edinburgh sessions were also held at the site aThJ we also facilitated volunteers doing their Duke of Edinbuigh award. Most session had up to 20 children and the schcK)I sessÉons over 30 plus tsir staff. The children t￿k part in various nature focused activttses as well as having freedom to explore nature on the stte. Stargazing event We ran a stsrgaarKJ event f()r over 50 children and their parents on the site in NovemtEr. Both adulis and children learned about the moon, stars and planets as well as having trje opportunity to vw them through telescoFes. It is one of our most tM)PUtar events and we offet this at a very affordab￿ pri￿ for families Santa event We ran a Christrnas themed event for 23 childien and their parents including a visit with Santa at a lower price than similar commercial events. The children took part in nature related activrt"Fes with a Christrnas theme. This event was supported by the Salvation Am7y. Volunteer days We ran 2 volunteer days on site for our local volunteeT5 to come and help us clean up the stte and hear aboLrt our plans. These days were well attending my local FEople, raising awareness of our srte and our charity. We conts.nued maintenance of appk trees on the ste in partnership with the local communty, COPSE chanty and the environmentsl team from Surrey Council. We conb'nue to receive ￿tsVe feedback from all of our events both on the gocKI value they represent and the activtlies Ihat take place. The hool teachers have loved ￿Ing the change in their pupils working in dtfferent environmenc showirvJ improved confidence and resilience and the benefits of Ihem mixing wtth different FEer groups, k that by age or abilty, has shown great benefits.
