The surplus
from donations received is utilised to make a
grant each year to an educational charity
(selected by application process followed by
shortlisting and a vote, in which all
volunteers can participate).
The charity offers subjects based on the
subject choices of available tutoring
volunteers, which are based on their
qualifications. Each tutor teaches a subject
in which they have a qualification at least
one level above that which they are tutoring,
with grade B or above (e.g. a Maths GCSE
tutor must have Maths A-Level).
