## Trustees' Annual Report for the Zizus Foundation 

The trustees of the Zizus Foundation present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023. The report has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 and the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102). 

## Objectives and Activities 

The Zizus Foundation was established in 2022 by Nicola Knight and Maaz Rahman to provide grants to parents/carers of children aged up to 4 years, enabling them to access childcare they could not otherwise afford. Our primary objectives are: 

To support parents/carers returning to work by covering the first month's childcare costs. 

To provide full-time childcare funding for parents in situations of domestic abuse, homelessness, or other significant life events. 

## Financial Review 

The foundation's income for the year was £700 primarily from donations. The foundation maintains a reserves policy to ensure sustainability and the ability to meet future grant commitments. 

## Structure, Governance, and Management 

The Zizus Foundation is governed by a board of trustees who meet regularly to oversee the charity's activities and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Trustees are recruited based on their skills and experience relevant to the foundation's work. 

## Public Benefit Statement 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their powers and duties. 

## Plans for the Future 

In the coming year, the Zizus Foundation aims to: 

Increase the number of grants awarded by 20%. 

Expand partnerships with additional agencies to reach more families in need. 

Enhance fundraising efforts to secure additional funding for our programs.
