## **Introduction** 

The trustees of Cricklewood Muslim Youth Trust are pleased to present their annual report for the financial year ending 30/04/2024. This report provides an overview of the charity’s activities, achievements, financial position, and governance during the year. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

## **Charitable Objectives:** 

The objects of the Cricklewood Muslim Youth Trust are to: 

1. Improve the conditions of life of the inhabitants of England, without the distinction of political, religious, or other opinions, by the provision of a community centre for the use of the inhabitants, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreational and leisure use. 

2. Advance the Muslim religion in England for the benefit of the public, through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, and public celebration of religious festivals, to enlighten others about the Muslim religion. 

3. The prevention or relief of poverty in England, by providing grants to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. 

## **Main Activities and Achievements:** 

- Provided a safe and welcoming community centre that hosted meetings, educational lectures, and recreational activities. 

- Organized religious gatherings, including prayer meetings and celebrations of key Islamic festivals, engaging the community in spiritual enrichment. 

## **Public Benefit Statement** 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities. The charity’s work has continued to benefit local communities through educational, religious, and social welfare initiatives.

No funds were raised or spent during the financial year as the charities bank account has only recently been set up.

As no funds were raised or spent, there are currently no reserves held by the charity. However, the charity aims to establish a reserves policy to ensure financial stability and sustainability. 

## **Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA):** 

A full SOFA has not been presented due to zero transactions in this reporting period. Future reports will include a formal SOFA when financial activity commences.
