**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:THE PROMOTION OF AGRICULTURE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE ENCOURAGEMENT, PROMOTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE WHITEFACE DARTMOOR SHEEP AND ENCOURAGING THE BREEDING OF WHITEFACE DARTMOOR SHEEP, IN PARTICULAR BY:(1) THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE BREED;(2) PROMOTING BREED DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PLACE OF THE BREED IN THE NATIONAL SHEEP FLOCK;(3) RECORDING THE HISTORY OF THE BREED;(4) ESTABLISHING AND PUBLISHING A FLOCK BOOK OF RECOGNISED PURE-BRED RAMS AND EWES WHICH HAVE BEEN REGISTERED AND REGISTER THE PEDIGREES OF SUCH SHEEP AS ARE PROVED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE MEMBERS OR THE CHARITY TRUSTEES TO BE ELIGIBLEFOR ENTRY;(5) ORGANISING AND HOLDING ANNUAL SHOWS AND SALES OF WHITEFACE DARTMOOR SHEEP, ARRANGING CLASSES, DONATING OR AUGMENTING PRIZES, APPOINTING OR RECOMMENDING JUDGES TO MAKE AWARDS AT SUCH SHOWS AND SALES OR AT SHOWS OF ANY OTHER SOCIETY;(6) INVESTIGATING CASES OF DOUBTFUL OR SUSPECTED PEDIGREE.
