## **Chairperson’s Statement** 

I am honoured to present the first annual report for Nigehbaan Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to serving communities in need. This year has primarily been focused on setting up the charity’s foundational infrastructure, ensuring legal compliance, and preparing for future service delivery. While we have not yet commenced fundraising or direct service provision, we have made significant progress in laying the groundwork for a successful and impactful organisation. 

## **Financial Summary** 

To formally establishing the charity’s banking facilities, Nigehbaan Foundation deposited an initial amount of **£50** into its account. This amount was required to activate the charity’s bank account and will serve as the foundation for future financial management and fundraising efforts. At this stage, there have been no other income sources or expenditures, as the focus has been on administrative and structural development. 

## **Activities and Achievements** 

Over the past year, our primary focus has been on the establishment and governance of the charity to ensure a strong and legally compliant organization. Below are some key activities and achievements: 

- **Charity Registration and Legal Compliance** : Successfully completed the charity registration process with the Charity Commission, securing our status as a recognized charitable organization. 



- **Governance and Administrative Setup** : Developed key governance policies, including financial policies, safeguarding measures, and operational guidelines, to ensure effective management and accountability. 

- **Strategic Planning** : Undertook strategic discussions to outline the charity’s mission, vision, and long-term goals, with a focus on community service, empowerment, and support. 

- **Establishment of Operational Framework** : Identified potential areas of intervention and formulated a roadmap for service delivery, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. 

## **Challenges Faced** 

As a newly registered charity, Nigehbaan Foundation faced several challenges that impacted our ability to commence fundraising and service delivery. These challenges included: 

1. **Limited Financial Resources** : With only the initial deposit of £50 in our bank account, we were unable to launch fundraising campaigns or initiate any large-scale activities. 

2. **Focus on Organizational Development** : The charity’s priority has been to establish a robust governance structure, which required time and effort, delaying the start of fundraising and service provision. 

3. **Lack of Public Awareness** : As a new charity, Nigehbaan Foundation has yet to gain public recognition and community trust, which is essential for successful fundraising and program implementation. 

## **Future Plans and Objectives** 

Despite the challenges, Nigehbaan Foundation remains committed to its mission and has outlined a clear plan for the coming year. Our key objectives include: 

1. **Launching Fundraising Campaigns** : Actively seeking grants, donations, and sponsorships from individuals, organizations, and funding bodies to secure financial resources for our charitable initiatives. 



2. **Initiating Community Programs** : Implementing pilot projects in key areas such as education, health, and social welfare to demonstrate our commitment and impact. 

3. **Building Partnerships and Collaborations** : Engaging with other charities, businesses, and community organizations to strengthen our network and increase our reach. 

4. **Enhancing Public Awareness** : Utilizing social media, community outreach, and engagement activities to raise awareness about Nigehbaan Foundation and attract support from the community. 

5. **Strengthening Governance and Capacity Building** : Conducting training for trustees and volunteers to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

## **Conclusion** 

This year has been foundational for Nigehbaan Foundation, setting the stage for future growth and impact. While we have not yet launched fundraising initiatives or service delivery, our focus on governance, compliance, and strategic planning has prepared us for a strong start in the coming year. We remain dedicated to our mission and are confident that with the right support, partnerships, and resources, we will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we aim to serve. 

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us during this initial phase. We look forward to the coming year with optimism and determination, eager to transform our plans into action.
