Structure, Governance and Management
The Steam Tug Cervia PreseNation Trust was registered on 24 January 2023. The
Charity was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1201692
The Twslees are listed on page 3.
The Trustees received no remuneration or other benefits during the year.
The Trustees have the support of the Cervia Volunteer Crew (CVC).
Audit Exemption Statsment
For the year ending 31st De￿mber 2024, the Trust was entitled to exemption from
independent audit under Charities Legislation with turnover below required threshold.
This will be reviewed annually, decision based upon turnover.

The trustees present their report and the unaudited financial stalements of the charity
for the year ended 31 st December 2024.
Trustses, Annual Report
The Trust has continued to consolidate its position, to promote the aims of the
charttable trust. To seek and gain support of stakeholders both within and wtthout the
community and to organise those volunteers (CVC) to preserve, conserve and
maintain the Steam Tug Cervia with the full support of the current title owners.,
Thanet District Council.
The trustees appointed an additional Trustee R Field on 11th August 2024 as a
dedicated Treasurer and Secretary, to support the Aims of the Trust.
The registered address was changed to be local to the ship, The Marlowe Innovation
Centre, Ramsgate. The current berth in the harbour has no postal address.
The Web site has been finalised and integrates with social media. to help educate
and gain support in all forms, inclusive of an online shop facility to sell memorabilia
and to provide supporters membership subscription and donation portal, to help raise
funds.
As part of its stated aims, the Trust held a servi￿ of Commemoration, at St Georges
Church, Gravesend on the 70th anniversary of 'the Tilbury incident 25th October
2054,. of the tragic sinking and loss of life. The service was well attended by Family
members, Trustee's, Dignitaries and both serving and retired 'tuggies'. A wreath was
laid at the Merchant Navy Memorial, Gravesend. A permanent plaque has been
commissioned and will be dedicated in the memorial garden. The Cervia is
maintained in honour of all Lightemen and Watemien, who have lost their lives at
work.

and expenditure derive from continuing activities.
Notels 1- Restricted Fund Donation £1,(X)O towards a wmanenl momorial stone for Cervia Crew
lost 25.10.1954 made by Gravesend Tug Associalion. £215 was expended on charitable aims
towards costs of the memorrdl service.
