**Objects:** FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF MARINE AND OCEAN ENGINEERING, IN PARTICULAR WITH REFERENCE TO HOW SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CAN CONTRIBUTE TO SAFETY IN MARINE AND OCEAN ENGINEERING AND ENSURE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FROM SHIPBUILDING AND WATERBORNE TRANSPORTATION, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY:(1) PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE TO THE PUBLIC.(2) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO ENGINEERS, SCIENTISTS, ACADEMICS AND STUDENTS THROUGH EVENTS, CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS.(3) PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF RESEARCH.

**Activities:** (1) The objects of the CIO are(a) to build network among members and promote information sharing.(b) to strengthen fellowship with the Korean scientific and technological field.(c) to contribute to scientific and technological development of the shipbuilding, ocean and marine sectors.
