|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|In agreeing what to spending the funds raised on we kept in mind<br>the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our<br>trustee meetings.<br>These are the main areas where funds raised were spent:-<br>Woodfield Infants School – Extensions to the trim trail equipment<br>in the main playground, Equipment for the EYFS playground<br>(funded by a successful grant application) and reading for<br>pleasure books for the whole school.<br>St George’s Junior School – Repairs to trim trail equipment,<br>contribution to iPad replacements and reading for pleasure books<br>for the whole school (some funding was c/f to next financial year<br>to cover these)<br>Money is also spent each year on Christmas gifts for all,<br>pantomime tickets for volunteers (to ensure the required amount<br>of adult supervision) and events/gifts for pupils in both schools<br>leaving years 2 and 6.|



## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|As at 31stAugust 2024 cash in the bank was £13,497.61 and cash<br>held was £609.83<br>A reserve amount of £3,000 is to remain in the bank account at all<br>times to ensure sufficient funds are available for any upfront<br>expenditure required on events/activities and to also ensure that<br>funds are available to cover those things that the PTFA would like<br>to provide for the children annually, ie Christmas gifts, new starter<br>packs, leavers events/gifts.|

## **Achievements and Performance** 

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|We managed to organise some fantastic events this year to raise<br>much needed funds to provide extras for both schools whose<br>budgets are very tight.<br>The Circus in September raised £1,355 and was a lovely family<br>event, our Autumn and Spring raffles raised a total of £2,500, the<br>festive Christmas fair raised £1,650, St George’s Disco* raised<br>£1,100 and the children had great fun too and our summer event<br>full of bouncy castles and inflatables was our ‘Inflatanoon’, which<br>raised an amazing amount of £4,480 and was worth all the effort<br>organising it and the volunteer recruitment.<br>Pupils at both schools, and their families, benefited from all these<br>fun events and we raised an amazing amount for both schools to<br>fund the items mentioned before.|

|Contribution made by<br>volunteers|We are very grateful to all those PTFA members who volunteered<br>to enable the events to be held. Without this valuable contribution<br>of time and effort we would not have been able to raise so much<br>for the schools and their pupils.<br>All trustees give their time voluntarily and received no<br>remuneration or other benefits.|

**Report to the trustees On accounts for the year Charity no ended (if any) Set out on pages** (remember  to include the page numbers of additional sheets) I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above . **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 . 

I report in respect of my examination of  the accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement iew which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
