## **Trustees’ Annual Report** ## **For the period** **From:** 12/01/2023 **To:** 31/12/2023 **Charity Name:** Campus Outreach **Charity Registration Number:** 1201556 ## **Objectives and Activities** The charities objects are to advance the Christian Faith in accordance with the Campus Outreach Statement of Faith, for the benefit of the public, amongst university students, throughout Great Britain but especially in Birmingham, through the practical expression of Christian faith by providing activities that (a) holistically care for the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of students and (b) enable enquirers to learn more about the Christian faith. The trustees have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. ## **Achievements and performance** For the reporting year, the focus for the Charity has been on continuing to learn the context in which the Charity seeks to operate. This has involved networking with other like-minded organisations with the desire to develop collaborative partnerships, for the public benefit. This foundational work is essential to the longer term sustainability and effectiveness of the Charity and its objectives. This development work has been carried out by the trustees as well as by volunteers working with the Charity. When conducting this development work due consideration has been given to the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit with particular consideration to the guidance on the advancement of religion. In particular the Charity seeks to give enquiring University students from any background opportunities to learn more about the Christian faith in a ## **Financial Review** The financial statements have been drawn up on a receipts and payments basis and include a balance sheet and this Trustees’ Report. Incoming resources for the year were £0. Expenditure for the year was £0. The surplus for the year was £0. Given the Charity had no financial commitments for the reporting period, the fact that the Charity held zero reserves was not a cause for concern. The Charity’s financial position, along with the application of the reserves policy, will be reviewed by the Trustees ahead of agreeing to any future financial commitments. ## **Structure, Governance and Management** The Charity is a registered charity and is constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). The Charity has three trustees in accordance with the Governing Document. Trustees are selected on the basis of having the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.
