|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|We did 5 talks to local groups including<br>history groups, young farmers clubs,<br>university and college students.<br>11 school visits were done with a fell pony.<br>9 agricultural shows and events were<br>attended with tradestands.<br>3 farmers markets were attended with<br>tradestands.<br>3 standalone fundraising events were held.<br>2 fell pony stud open days were held.<br>A film was produced in conjunction with<br>students from Cumbria University on their<br>wildlife media course.<br>A life drawing course was held with<br>instruction given on drawing fell ponies, this<br>doubled up as a fundraiser as well as raising<br>awareness of the breed and its<br>characteristics.<br>We took part in the Epona project which<br>resulted in a month long exhibition at the<br>Rheged centre raising awareness of the<br>breed and its heritage.<br>A feature was done on BBC Radio Cumbria.<br>We were one of the guest speakers at the<br>Rare Breeds Stallion AI project at Gemini<br>Genetics, Whitchurch Shropshire.<br>Through these events we have participated<br>in we have benefitted the general public by<br>raising awareness of the breed, its heritage<br>and the part it plays in the eco system. The<br>trust has raised money to fund promotional<br>literature and expenses, merchandise has<br>begun to be produced and sold to advertise<br>the trust and help us financially.|
