Objectives and Activities
The charity's object is to advance the Islami¢ Shia Ithna Asharl frdlth In accordance wlth the
doctrlnes of Flqh-e-laferlya for the benetlt of the publlc. Actlvitles Include prayer meetings,
rellglous fesrlvals (such a5 Arbaeen), lectures. and disseminatlon of literature.

During 2024, the charity successfully organlsed the Arbaeen commemoratlons, malalis, and
other. religious gatherings attended bya large number of community member5. These
events were supported entirely by voluntsry donations. The charity also expanded its
outreacli by produclng Informatlve Ilterature and enhancing online accessibllity through its
website and soclal media platfornis,
Flnancial Revlew
Total income for the year was £30,687.92, derlved mainly from voluntary publlc donations.
Expendlture amounted to £25.768.17, whlch Included £7,598 In depreclation on tsn8ible
fixed a8sets. The resultlng net movement in funds for the year was £4,919,75. bringlng total
funds carried forward at 31 December 2024 to E87,977.56.
The year-end funds comprise a closing bank balance of£87.977.56 and the net-book value
of tangible assets of £ 22,794. These ￿ndS are unrestricted and available for the continued
operation and development of the charity's activltles.

Reserves Pollcy
The trustees alm to maintain unrestricted reserves sufflclent to cover at least three months
ofcore operatingcosts, estlmated between £5,000 and £6,000. As at 31 December 2024,
unrestrlcted reserves stood at £87,977.56, which provides a strong financlal positlon to
support future Arbaeen processions, educational events, and community outreach
initiatives. The reserves poliLy Is reviewed annually.

Tlie charity is governed by its constitution as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO),
registered on 29 December 2022. Trustees are appointed in accordance with procedures set
out in the governing document and typically serve a three-year term. The board revlews its
composltlon annually to ensure It reflects the skills, experlence, and dlver5Ity needed to
achieve the charlty's objectives. The trustees continue to Identify and monitor key rtsks,
Including event safety, flnanclal controls, and volunteer management. Measures such as
public Ilabillty Insurance, flnancial record verificatlon, and internal guidance for volunteers
are In place to miti8ate risks.
