Activities
As a result of receiving charitable donations we purchase defibrillators, cabinets & ancillaryequipment from reputable suppliers. We then commission the installation of this equipment in public areasidentified by the charity. We work with 'hosts' to ensure the equipment is cared for & maintained to be emergency ready 24/7. We offer free basic life support training to members of the public.
Objects: 1. For The Public Benefit, The Advancement Of The Saving Of Lives In The Event Of ?Out Of Hospital? Cardiac Arrests (What) In The Minehead Area (Where) For Any Member Of The Public Who Has Suffered A Suspected Cardiac Arrest, (Who) In Particular But Not Exclusively By, Fundraising, Providing Information, Advice And Making Grants To Host Locations, In Order To Establish A Network Of Sustainable Public Access Automatic External Defibrillators (Aed?s) That Can Be Used To Give Victims Lifesaving First Aid And Dramatically Increase The Chance Of Their Survival And To Ensure The Public Access Defibrillators Are Maintained On The National Defib Database That Is Accessible To The Ambulance Services Nationwide (How).?sustainable? Means That IT The Charity Seeks To Provide Through Grants, Consumables, Batteries, And Support For A Minimum Of 2 Battery Lifecycles. In Most Cases This Will Be A Minimum Of 10 ? 14 Years?host? Means A Person, Business Or Organisation That Agrees To Have A Life Saving Public Access Defibrillator At The Premises And Accessible To Be Used By The Public 2. For The Public Benefit, The Advancement Of Education To Develop Individual Knowledge, Understanding And/or Skills In Relation To First Aid ?Situation? And ?Casualty? Assessment, Basic Life Support (Cpr) And How To Use An Automatic External Defibrillator In Accordance With Current National And International Guidance, (What) For Anyone Over The Age Of 7 Years.(who) This Knowledge, Understanding And Associated Skills Could Then Be Used By The Recipient In Any Part Of The World (Where). The Charity Will Achieve This In Particular But Not Exclusively By Fundraising, Raising Awareness, Giving Advice And Guidance, Providing Structured (Age Appropriate) Free Training Classes And Providing (Age Appropriate) Free Demonstrations, In Any Location Or In Any Format The Trustees Think Fit, Including By:a.
