|||||rabbit,<br>1 guinea<br>pig and 30fish.|
|||||Additionally<br>2tortoises were passed to the|
|||||National<br>Centre for Reptile Welfare on the|
|||||basis that the Rescue does not believe<br>in|
|||||rehoming<br>animals<br>with individuals<br>who the|
|||||animals are likely to outlive.|
|||||Currently<br>the Rescue has 4 dogs, 3cats, 2|
|||||goats, 3rabbits, 3guinea pigs, 1 chinchilla|
|||||and 5rats that are in the process ofbeing|
|||||rehomed or seeking their new homes.|
|||||Long term residents are:|
|||||Queenie, a miniature<br>cob pony|
|||||needing<br>ongoing medical treatment|
|||||for Cushings,|
|||||Balthazar, a Welsh<br>hill pony whose|
|||||temperament<br>prevents<br>rehoming,|
|||||Grace, aminiature<br>Shetland<br>pony|
|||||with a physical condition that needs|
|||||careful management,|
|||||Barbara, a crossbreed sheep who|
|||||had been rehomed<br>with her sister|
|||||but after her sister passed away has|
|||||come back tothe Rescue to be with|
|||||other animals for company and is|
|||||considered too old to rehome|
|||||Bow, a Wilshire<br>long horn sheep|
|||||who has afoot condition that|
|||||requires<br>careful management|
|||||Mary, Florence &Diana, Shetland|
|||||sheep who are pretty feral and very|
|||||hard to catch but do a great job of|
|||||weed control in the field!|

|In 2023a sad goodbye was said to Snowey|
|the cat &Nipper the dog (both long term|
|residents),<br>Fawkes the guinea<br>pig, Lady P|
|the cat and Freda the dog (who all came in|
|hoping for rehoming<br>but either were too ill|
|to rehome and the kindest thing was for|
|them to be put to sleep or passed away|
|from medical issues whilst<br>in our care).|

|given to some people<br>in the local|
|community<br>who come to our attention<br>(for|
|example through<br>social services) about|
|having to rehome their beloved pet due to|
|financial concerns and in some cases short|
|term help has been given to certain cases|
