ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE During the year. the Charty has Sslu11Y delivered a programme of acbvities to supp)rt the local people of South LeKestershire using temporary premises. Duriro the period, the chaTity secured a premises for the permanent establishment of tharity activities. but due to lad( of pknning consent. did not manage to complete the establishmenl of sh a FErnanent place. The tharty is searching for similar premises whilst temporary premisès are usad to provide the services benefftting local people. PUBLIC 8ENEFrr STATEMEMr The trustees have considered the g8neral guAlan on public benefft issued by the Charty Commtssion and has taken due regard of that guidance. The truslees consider that they are satisfiad that the charity's activtties do benefft the putlC as it is meeting an iJentifHble red among local Feople. GRANT MAKING POLICY The charity does not gwe grants a% part of its delivery of activities. FINANCIAL REVIEW SOUTH LEICESTERSHIRE ISLAMIC COMMUNITY had secured donations from public donors totallirKJ £236,645 during the year. DurirKJ the year. the charty had drect project expendlture of £13,757 which were mainly costs reLgted lo the delrvery of Islamic a¢tNi11gs. This g8nerated a surplus of £222.888 Kthich will be kept lor the purchase of a pemanent premises for Ihe activities of the charty. The Charty has a reser¥es poly io ratain £S,O(K) for administratK)n costs in furtherance of the objects of the charty. PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS FLrture plans are to conlnue provKliw the Islamr activitps and to secure a permanent place for all actNities ol the charity ythh benefft all seclK>ns of SOcty.
