BGRC Girls Rugby Impact and Outcomes 2023 -  1[st] Year of the Charity – 1000+ Girls Supported 

## • BIL Girls League 

- 26 Teams 



- Approx. 600+ Players 

- 135 Matches 

## • Girls School Tournaments – 2022-2023 

- U12/U14/16s Girls Competitions Held 

- 350+ Girls supporting @ 17+ Separate Schools 

- 200+ Rugby Balls given out 2022 to support rugby 

## • Schools Development 

- 2 Schools Rugby Courses = Pathway in clubs in actions 

- Funding for 1 School Kit & Planned 3-4 2024 

- 10 Separate School Courses Committed for 2024 





BGRC Purpose and Key Objectives 

To promote and grow girls' rugby in Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties by – 

- Supporting the local Bucks Invitational League which is set-up to provide girls teams with competitive club rugby. 

- Promote the growth of girls' rugby in schools by providing coaching and equipment. 

- Provide school tournaments for the schools to give playing opportunities to the girls playing rugby in schools.

## BIL (Bucks Invitational League) League Impact 


- A girls’ league which provides competitive fixtures for local clubs. 

- Including Teams from Beds, Bucks, Oxon and Northants, Herts 

- 26 clubs 

- U12 PU&Play, U14s, U16s and U18 Teams 

- 135+ Games 

- Over 600 players 




## School Tournaments Impact 

School tournaments are arranged to give girls rugby in school the chance to play matches. 

Five tournaments so far since 2022 

- **17 schools** have attended 

Over **350** girls have participated 

200+ Rugby Balls given to girls in 2022/2023 

- _“I thought it was a brilliant first rugby experience for our girls, and they loved it” - Burnham Grammar School_ 

- _“They were on an absolute high the whole bus journey home” - Lord Williams School_ 

- _“It was brilliant to see so many young girls playing rugby other than in clubs! The future is looking good for our local clubs for sure” - Wycombe High School_ 





Schools Development Impact and direction 

Provide coaching support and equipment to schools looking to start a girls rugby offering. 

We have agreements and funding to provide coaching and equipment to **12 schools in 2024.** 

Mission – to help support the introduction of rugby to senior schools in Bucks and Oxon (Tesco Funding) Aim to expand this in 2024

   - We will be supported by Olivia Jenkins and the competition activator in the build up to the 2025 Womens Rugby World Cup
