In its second year the church Is contlnulng to reach out into
the communlty tt seeks to Serve. It doos thls In tho followlng

On a weekly basss these are the acllvttles that tak• place:.

Coffee morning
Two Biblo skndy groups. One is in the momlng and
the other Is earfy evoning to allow for as many people
as possiblo to attend.
An after school kids club
AA and an Al anon group
Bethanla opens Its doors for an hour and a half a Tmeek as a
Foodbank dlstrlbutlon c•ntr• whkh forn￿ part of tho
Trussell Tmst inltlative.
Once every mnths there Is • welsh coffee momlng
whlch offers an opportynlty for peopkn to pracllce thelr
conversational welsh and once every 3 to 4 months we alm
to hold Messy church or a Slmilar event almed at families.
We have contlnued to raise awareness and Introduce
ourselves to the local communty through the distributson of
Christian trncts whilst highlighting th• numerous actlvltlos
avallable for people to engage in.

therefore provldes much needed splrltual help and guldance
through Its Sunday worship services and Bible study groups.

The welsh coffee morning has provided an Ideal opportunty
for interested people to comg together in a friendly and
supportlve envlronment to practke thelr conversational

been attendod by children from both kKal prlmary schools
giving the children an opportunlty to soclalty interact with
older pwple through the medium of welsh. and everyone
s•em to benefft from, and enjoy the experlence.

Op•nlng a Foodbank dl$trlbutiM centr• at B•thania in
Aberfan has provided a much need•d service to the local
people who prevlously had to travel much further to access
this help. This is especially welcomed by people who often
do not have a car or who woukl otheThlse have to travel
much further on public trdnsport whlch does not appgar to be
as reliable and as frequent as it once was.
On th8 anniversary of the firstyear son￿ our opening we held
a speclal service of thanks whlch was prnceded by a march
of witness where a number of people. in tum, carrled a larg
cross from Merthyr Tydfil to Bethanla In Aberfan. That

that indlvlduals arn generousty contributing to the needs of
the charlty and durfng the year it was more than able to meet
