Trustees' Report and Financial Statement for the year ended 31 Aug 2025
This was our third year as a charity and we support over twenty families from the North East.
In the year 24/25 we offered six meetups at various locations ranging from parks to days out at adventure play places. These meetups are essential for parents’ wellbeing as they get to chat to other adults who are going through the same thing as them, plus they get some well needed respite as our kids play happily with each other, due to their similarities.
We offered support via both our Whatsapp community and social media pages, helping with a range of issues from school navigation to what’s available financially, to simply listening to each other’s days. This is where the most immediate support happens, in the moment, when people need it.
Our director, Julie McCormack also presented at two workshops with Adopt North East, that reached twelve families. The purpose was to introduce SASSI to solo adopters in the area and share knowledge with them.
Financial Statement
At the start of the year we had £983.75 in the bank, and ended the year with £645.72.
There were no incomings other than interest and outgoings paid towards social meet ups and bills for web hosting, ghost address and insurance.
